Saddl exists because the equestrian world has thousands of brilliant yards. Almost none of them are easy to find. We're fixing that.
The problem
A word-of-mouth industry stuck in the nineties
If you want to go horse riding, your options are Google (which returns whatever paid to be at the top), a Facebook group (if you know which one), or asking a friend. The result is that well-run yards stay invisible while riders drive past them on the way to somewhere they found by chance.
Most equestrian yards have no meaningful online presence. No up-to-date pricing. No clear sense of what they actually offer. No easy way to check availability or make contact. In most sectors this problem was solved a decade ago.
Saddl is a directory, a discovery platform, and eventually a booking layer. The goal is straightforward: if a yard exists in the UK, you should be able to find it.

Hi, I'm Will.
I've been riding for 35 years, starting on a Shetland pony. Since then I've crossed the Andes with Gauchos and played polo in Yorkshire. The horses have been a constant. The way the industry talks to itself online has not.
I built Saddl because I got frustrated trying to find somewhere to ride. Every yard I tried to find was either invisible online, had a website last updated in 2014, or took a week to reply to an email. There were thousands of them. Almost none of them were findable.
By day I work in product. I've spent years building platforms that connect businesses with the people who need them, including in financial services, where the same problem existed and took a long time to solve. The equestrian industry reminded me of that: the supply is there, the demand is there, and they spend too much time not finding each other.
Saddl is a side project for now. It's not backed by anyone, it doesn't have a team, and I'm building it in the margins. But the need is real and the data exists. It just needed someone to put it together properly.

Your listing is free. It always will be.
Saddl lists every UK yard at no cost. If your yard is already here and the details are wrong, claim it and submit your changes. We publish them once we've reviewed them, usually within 48 hours. If you're not listed yet, you can submit a new yard in a few minutes.
We don't take commission, we don't run ads, and we'll never bury you behind a paywall. Optional Featured and Pro tiers exist for venues that want priority placement, monthly performance reports and editorial features. Free listings are fully searchable and always will be.
