About this yard

Highland Horse Fun (formerly Newtonmore Riding Centre) was started by the Ormiston Family with their renowned stud of Highland Ponies in 1952, the original UK pony trekking centre and still operating from the same Newtonmore base. Rides go from the stables to the centre''s own Speyside Beach Meadows on the River Spey, providing river access most Highland centres can''t match. Saddle Club runs weekly year-round (£12 per session, £15 visitors), open to everyone. Long heritage as the originator of British pony trekking, plus the working Highland pony stud, makes this a must-visit for serious riders interested in the breed and the tradition.
