Lychgate Riding School at Lychgate Lane in Aston Flamville, Burbage near Hinckley, has been running since the 1980s and is BHS approved. The yard offers training and education qualifications alongside its general lesson programme. Group and private lessons are available for children and adults from age 4 across all abilities, with regular hacks out into the surrounding countryside. The team of long-serving qualified instructors gives the school a strong continuity in teaching style.

Adults of any size accommodated. Pony Club meets weekly. Summer 23-fence cross country course over 15 acres. BHS and NVQ instructor training.

What to wear

Riding boots or sturdy boots with a small heel.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs must be covered, no vest tops or shorts. Jackets and coats should be fastened securely. Waterproofs are recommended for outdoor lessons.
Long hair should be tied back in a ponytail before putting on your helmet. All jewellery must be removed before riding.
Clients arriving in unsuitable clothing or footwear may not be permitted to ride, for their own safety. If in doubt, contact the yard before your visit.
