About this yard

Lymm Riding School has been a fixture of the Cheshire equestrian scene since 1986, running lessons for riders from age 4 across flatwork, jumping, dressage, and hacking. Lead instructor Rebecca holds BHS Assistant Instructor and BHS Accredited Professional Coach qualifications, and the school is listed as an ABRS-approved centre. Based on a farm in the Cheshire countryside with an all-weather outdoor arena, the school takes an unusually broad approach to equestrian education, supporting pupils with Duke of Edinburgh Award activities, veterinary work experience, and further education placements. Pony parties are popular with families, and the community-rooted atmosphere has built a loyal local following over nearly four decades.

Footwear

Boots with a small heel, riding boots, walking boots or wellies all work. Trainers and flat-soled shoes are not permitted for safety reasons.

Clothing

Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs must be covered, no vest tops or shorts. Jackets and coats should be fastened securely. Waterproofs are recommended for outdoor lessons.

Hair & jewellery

Long hair should be tied back in a ponytail before putting on your helmet. All jewellery must be removed before riding.
