The centre takes riders aged 9 and above and specialises in dressage, show jumping, eventing and general riding. Current prices: Group 1hr £35; Private 30min £35, Private 1hr £60; Semi-private 1hr £45 per person; Pony day £70; Group hack 1hr £40; Private hack 1hr £55. Open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday only (closed Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday). The centre also hosts friendly competitions and clinics, and has an equine rehabilitation facility (North West Rehab Centre) on site. Payment by cash or cheque only.

Boots with a small heel, riding boots, walking boots or wellies all work. Trainers and flat-soled shoes are not permitted for safety reasons.

Clothing

Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs must be covered, no vest tops or shorts. Jackets and coats should be fastened securely. Waterproofs are recommended for outdoor lessons.

Hair & jewellery

Long hair should be tied back in a ponytail before putting on your helmet. All jewellery must be removed before riding.
