Silver Leys is one of England's oldest polo clubs, established in 1894 and set across 130 acres near Little Hadham in Hertfordshire. It is affiliated to the Hurlingham Polo Association and runs a full year-round calendar, with outdoor polo on three full-sized grass pitches from May through September and winter arena polo continuing through the colder months. The Hertfordshire Polo Academy operates from the site with HPA-qualified coaches offering lessons seven days a week. No riding experience is required and lessons start from age seven, with kids' group sessions available midweek from £50. Adult group lessons run from £65 with pony hire. The summer tournament season runs eleven weekends from early May to late September, with chukkas held twice weekly alongside the competitive programme. Monthly showjumping competitions, affiliated dressage three times a month and arena showing events round out a remarkably busy calendar for a site primarily known for polo. The 100x45m all-weather arena is floodlit, enabling evening use and extending the season in both directions. A newly built livery yard is run on site. Dining is genuinely above average for an equestrian venue: The Pitch Stop covers the bar and grab-and-go end of things, while 5th Sin serves a full menu including a proper Sunday lunch. A Kynetics Sports Injury Clinic is based on site for members and visitors. The venue is also available for private hire.
