About this yard

Stag Lodge Stables operates across two sites on the edge of Richmond Park. The original Stag Lodge 1 at Robin Hood Gate stables 30 horses, while the purpose-built Stag Lodge 2 is an 11-acre facility housing 40 stables, seven arenas, two of full Olympic size, a horse walker, and a dedicated livery block with grass turnout. The yard holds BHS Approved Centre status, inspected annually against rigorous standards of safety and instruction. The stables run a particularly strong children's programme, welcoming riders from three years old on Shetland ponies through lead-rein Pony Park Lessons in Richmond Park itself. Pony Week holiday courses, Pony Squad weekend sessions, group lessons, and private lunge lessons are available for progressively older junior riders. Adults can access flatwork, jumping, dressage, and hacking directly into the park.
