About this yard

Wanstead Community Riding Stables CIC was incorporated in 2023 and is based at Empress Avenue, E12, in the London Borough of Redbridge, operating from the former Aldersbrook Stables site. Licensed by the London Borough of Redbridge, WCRS is committed to making equestrian activity accessible to all sections of the community, with a particular focus on underrepresented groups, people with disabilities, and those with autism or learning difficulties. NHS North East London ICB funds the project for Redbridge residents with autism and learning disabilities. The facility features both an indoor riding arena and an outdoor arena and offers group and individual sessions, drop-in sessions for children under eight, and hacks around local parks and Wanstead Flats. Since opening, the CIC has delivered over 600 group and individual sessions, combining riding school and therapeutic roles within a community interest framework.
