About this yard

White Horse Equestrian Centre has been established for over 20 years at the foot of the Salisbury Plain, with direct access to the Westbury White Horse and its surrounding bridleways. The 100-acre site includes four acres of private woodland trails, a mile-long gallop with 25 jumps, a cross-country course, indoor and outdoor schools, and an outdoor jumping arena with undercover viewing. As a BHS-approved centre, it caters to beginners and experienced riders alike with professional instruction. The adjoining Long River Farm Camping turns the venue into a genuine equestrian destination, with standard pitches, touring caravan spaces, and twelve safari tent pods alongside farm animals and an on-site cafe. The combination of championship-standard riding infrastructure and a working farm stay makes it one of the more distinctive equestrian venues in the South West.

Footwear

Boots with a small heel, riding boots, walking boots or wellies all work. Trainers and flat-soled shoes are not permitted for safety reasons.

Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs must be covered, no vest tops or shorts. Jackets and coats should be fastened securely. Waterproofs are recommended for outdoor lessons.

Hair & jewellery
