Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own horse?
No. Talland is particularly renowned for its schoolmaster horses, animals trained to advanced and Grand Prix dressage level that allow riders without their own horses to experience correct high-level movement. Many riders travel from London each weekend specifically for dressage lessons on the schoolmasters.
What disciplines are available?
Dressage, showjumping, cross-country and side saddle are all taught. The dressage tuition is world-class, the schoolmasters include horses trained to Grand Prix level.
Is on-site accommodation available?
Yes. The centre offers on-site accommodation, making it a practical base for multi-day training packages and riding holidays. Intensive courses and holiday packages are available.
How do I book?
Contact the centre by phone or via the website. Holiday and intensive packages should be booked well in advance as availability is limited.
